  6. UB40's first recordings arrived at the height of the DIY movement in postpunk England, when independent labels flourished. Many of the songs on this collection later appeared on their first album "Signing Off", but this unique disc compiles the tracks of the singles that lead to that release/5(8).

  7. I purchased this on vinyl years ago and have since lost the recording. It was my first UB40 purchase I could afford and the one I have sought out today. This isn't the Pop version of UB40 like the over-played Red Red Wine, this is the roots version with thoughtful songs and complicated music/5(11).

  9. The album first appeared as a double vinyl LP in and features all the tracks from Signing Off on Record One, the 3 tracks from the 12" single that accompanied Signing Off on the A-side of Record Two with the tracks released as singles that did not feature on the debut album on B-side. A .
