Zurich-based alto saxophonist and composer Niculin Janett, in the naming of his quartet's debut album, encapsulated the essence of his music with an otherwise vexatious phrase that regularly victimizes most city dwellers: No Parking Any Time. Although irritating for motorists, an ordinance prohibiting parking in terms of music, especially jazz, would seemingly stimulate perpetual movement and growth.

3. Founded in the summer of in Brooklyn, NYC, this quartet connects like-minded musicians from four different countries. Their music keeps on moving continuously, always changing it’s shape, rarely coming to a full stop. One can hear the seriousness of the instrumentalists at work, but, don’t you worry, they always leave some space for humor to shine right through also.

4. No Parking Any Time is the first album of the Niculin Janett Quartet featuring Rich Perry. Janett was staying in New York for a short period in and took lessons with Rich Perry. The two became friends and decided to record an album together. 30 Orchard Street is an original composition of Janett. 30 Orchard Street was Niculin's home at his time in Big Apple.
